With a deep love for Jesus Christ and a passion for serving the community, Confiance brings renewed leadership and commitment to the 209 women and their families serving with Handspun Hope.

Diana Wiley recently interviewed Confiance to hear his thoughts on how Handspun Hope is creating a lasting impact in Rwanda.

DW: What motivates you to serve as country director for Handspun Hope?

CI: Born and raised in Rwanda, I feel called to serve the Lord and my community. God has blessed me tremendously with this opportunity to spread God's love and respond to Jesus Christ's call to care for the broken. He has blessed me with my wife of four years, Conso, and a beautiful six-month-old son.

DW: Why Handspun Hope?

CI: Handspun Hope's mission and vision deeply resonates with me. Our holistic approach focuses on the whole person and the whole community. By empowering women through employment and spiritual, physical, and emotional care, we can break the generational cycle of poverty and transform entire communities.

DW: What is your favorite thing about serving as country director?

CI: There is incredible power behind the testimonies and transformational journeys of each woman at Handspun Hope. Each woman has built a relationship with Jesus Christ and we're able to provide the tools, support and community to help these women live a life of hope.

DW: Where do you see Handspun Hope in the future?

CI: Handspun Hope's model of work-based solutions to breaking the cycle of poverty restores dignity and hope - two characteristics that have the collective power to shape future generations. I see Handspun Hope, through the continued support of so many around the world, continuing to grow to support employment for thousands across Rwanda.
