Wild Borocera Silk,Madder Root
Our Wild Borocera Silk, hand spun in the central highlands of Madagascar will delightfully fill your craving for a stunning, hand spun, "thick and thin" fiber.
This gorgeous yarn is imported into Rwanda in the single play where the women of Handspun Hope ply and hand dye it organically with mostly native Rwandan plants.
We are thrilled to support the women of Voajanahary cooperative whom we have partnered with since 2011 by purchasing their gorgeous handwoven scarves.
The purchase of this yarn helps the women to earn a living wage. New initiatives teach low impact farming and help save the Madagascar forests while providing an incentive for local people to protect their trees.
