This stunning collection of jewelry is created from ostrich eggshell by artisans working under fair trade conditions in Namibia. Each precious bead is carefully chiseled by hand before these magnificent pieces are meticulously crafted one at a time. The eggshells are sourced from commercial farms to ensure sustainability.

Women, who are largely illiterate in Namibia, make up the vast majority of artisans creating this jewelry. The women are trained in business, and provided with information on healthcare and HIV, nutrition, and women’s rights.
