Collection: Wild Borocera Silk + Ethiopian Cotton
Presenting Handspun Hope's most recent creation: a blend of Madagascar's Wild Borocera silk and Ethiopian cotton, both hand spun using drop spindles. This carefully and precisely crafted yarn blends the essence of three very different cultures—Ethiopian tradition with the untamed beauty of Madagascar and the beautiful hands of the artisans of Handspun Hope in Rwanda.
The silk yarn is imported from Madagascar while the cotton is imported from Ethiopia into Rwanda before the women of Handspun Hope ply and hand dye it organically using baths derived from predominantly native Rwandan plants.
