Collection: Wild Borocera Silk Scarves
Embrace the artistry of traditional Malagasy craftsmanship with our collection of wild borocera silk scarves from Madagascar, which are sure to desligh your love of textiles and natural dyes. Each scarf is skillfully woven one at a time and hand-dyed by local artisans, capturing the vibrant colors and rich cultural heritage of Madagascar. From intricate patterns to bold designs, our scarves are a celebration of the island's unique artistic identity.
All scarves are woven from borocera silk, a one-of-a-kind fiber, only found in the high plains of Madagascar We work collaboratively with a women's collective, who collects the responsibly-sourced silk cocoons from local Tapia forests and processes it for up to two weeks before weaving. Each scarf takes anywhere from 5-7 days for one woman to weave, and as in all handcrafted products, no two scarves are exactly the same.
Each scarf is a masterpiece, woven with passion and dedication to bring you a unique piece of wearable art.
