Our Kitenge Zipper Cases are handcrafted by women in Rwanda from high-quality wax print fabrics that are sourced in local markets. These cases can be used for so many purposes including cosmetics, toiletries, knitting and crochet needles, or sewing notions. So cute and useful than just one won't be enough! Umutima Cooperative in Kigali, Rwanda was created to address gender-based violence, gender inequality, and discrimination. Their mission is to provide education and vocational training to women who do not have the means to pay for such training on their own so that they can gain better opportunities for employment.
“Umutima,” means “heart” in Kinyarwanda.
