Queen Poncho in Ethiopian Cotton
Our Queen Poncho, hand knit from sustainable Ethiopian cotton, is a modern take on a classic poncho style and is finished with custom-created horn buttons. This design is ideal for fall as a lightweight covering and can be styled in three different ways, making it a practical staple for your wardrobe. Shown in Indigo but available in any shade from our natural cotton palette.
This poncho takes 96 hours for one woman to knit by hand. This time is not inclusive of the laborious task of creating the yarn and hand dyeing it organically. Please allow 8 weeks for the delivery of this custom-created design.
Named after Queen who works as a supervisor at Handspun Hope. You can read more about Queen's story and the other women working for the organization here.

Our Ethiopian cotton is sourced from a women's cooperative in Addis Ababa. There, the ladies hand spin cotton on drop spindles. The cotton is then imported into Rwanda where the women working for Handspun Hope ply and dye the yarn.
Handspun Hope is a sustainable fashion brand committed to ethically-sourced materials and minimal environmental impact.
